Coffee Is My Spirit Animal, Etsy & Other 4:00am Things
My husband was supposed to fly out to Dallas yesterday evening, but at 6:45 last night his flight was cancelled and he came on home. It was more than awesome to get to spend a quiet evening at home together watching Downton Abbey (obsessed) on the couch, but the 4:00am wake up call to catch the new flight this morning? Definitely not awesome. I tried my best to get back to sleep, but 1) I was anxious about him driving to the airport in his tired state and 2) well..coffee.
It's just so good. I have quite the coffee ritual. Well, maybe not so much a ritual as much as a very specific and certain way I like my coffee. We have a Keurig and I use the reusable K-Cups with my own mix of a strong plain coffee + Fresh Market's creme brulee flavored coffee. You have to fill the K-Cup to a certain line that is within the cup (#science) to get it just right. Once it's brewed, I count quickly to three while I pour in Silk Vanilla creamer. Because I'm OCD like that. It's perfect every time.
I drink way too many cups of coffee every day (today's count: 4 cups. coffee coffee coffee!), and keep the party going into the early afternoon most days. The best part of the coffee ritual? Six days a week, my husband brings me my very first cup of coffee in bed to sip on while we watch the Today show. #winning What happens on the seventh day you might wonder? Well, I treat him and bring HIM his coffee in bed. It's all about the give and take ;)
Anywho. When you mix a lot of coffee + early morning energy + 4 hours to kill before I have to start work for the day, you get a whole lot of updates to your Etsy shop. It's simple math really ;)
My Etsy shop is a work in progress but I have had so much fun creating prints of my favorite quotes, images, colors, designs, etc. It is such a fun little outlet. I thought I'd pop in and share the coffee inspired print I listed today, as well as a few other prints I've added to the shop recently. If you click the images below, it will take you to the listing in Etsy if you are so inclined.
Truth. Coffee is totally my spirit animal. I'm also looking into having this printed on coffee mugs to add to the shop. Fun!
In non coffee-related news, I thought it would be fun to design some customizable letters that could be printed for a fun, colorful and light-hearted gallery wall, child's room or nursery. There are 5 different color options that are fun and summery.
I love this Virginia Woolf quote. It's so sweet! Should out to my coffee-in-bed-bringin' honey. I'm never not thinking of you!
And because Paris is always on my mind, I created a funky Eiffel Tower print with a geometric pattern. This is available in a few of the same colors of the letters. Because bright and fun colors are awesome.
I hope you have had an awesome [coffee filled] day!
